Rowville Rail Pre-Feasibility Report:
In 2004 Knox City Council commissioned a pre-feasibility report into the Rowville rail line. The report was commissioned to place pressure on the government to deliver its promise of completing a feasibility analysis of the Rowville Rail Line - a promise unfulfilled since 1999.
The Knox Council Pre-Feasibility Study found that the Rowville rail line is viable and warranted further attention.
Most importantly it uncovered that very little land acquisition would be required and ultimately that only a rail line would provide Monash and Knox with the investment needed to stimulate continued business growth.
